Paul Mannix
I'm completing my PhD in applied mathematics at Imperial College London under the supervision of Jonathan Mestel. My research uses dynamical systems theory to understand models of rotating thermal convection in spherical shells aka "simplified planetary models".
In addition to dynamical systems theory and fluid dynamics, I'm also interested in data science, machine learning and reinforcement learning. Combining modern techniques in data science with more traditional dynamical systems approaches is my current aim. My CV can be found here as pdf, my Github and Kaggle profiles.

I also maintain an interest in art and enjoy painting. My inspiration includes legends, nature, science, fiction and music.
I hope you’ll enjoy viewing my projects as much as I enjoyed working on them. Go ahead and explore, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like to learn more.
